Allyson Content Group

New Content Writing Focus in 2020 – the Year of COVID

ORIGINAL CONTENT WRITING FOR WEBSITES AND BLOGS

The Allyson Group shifted to a 100% content writing focus in 2020. Our core product is now original content writing for websites and blogs. We also, for the first time, offer content planning as a separate product!
We serve the people inside social enterprises and mission-driven businesses who are responsible for their organization’s digital platforms. These organizations may utilize content marketing as a core business strategy. Content marketing success requires a steady flow of written and visual content, optimized for the web (SEO).  We are the content people in the content marketing matrix.
Here’s what’s changing.

GOING AWAY, SADLY: BOOK EDITING

The authors and books part of our business is going away. We no longer work with authors. 🙁 Sad, but true. No more ghostwriting. (Except blogs and long-form articles!) And there is no more book editing or self-publishing in our portfolio.
Publicity and public relations are going away, too. We no longer offer media relations and related services.
However, there is good news. We have literary friends! We have excellent, longstanding relationships with editors, book coaches, small book publishers, and literary agents. And our friends in media relations are experts in guest booking, book launches, and media tours. Please call if you need a referral.

GOING FORWARD, JOYFULLY: ORIGINAL CONTENT WRITING

Content Writing

We write content for websites, blogs, and the kind of long-form articles that establish thought leadership. With a cadre of professional content writers, we provide business owners, social enterprise businesses, and nonprofits as much original, SEO-optimized content as they need, as often as they need it.

Content Planning

Content planning ties an organization’s public communications to its business strategy. It connects content marketing to the organization’s overall strategic business goals and allows for useful integration with other components of marketing. A plan allows for more useful collaboration, and makes it possible for many writers to produce high-quality, branded content.

Brand Audits

Brand audits offer a useful baseline for content planning. They offer a snapshot of an organization’s entire digital presence at a single point in time. An audit reveals data that helps them make sure they are presenting the key information that customers need.

Competitor Reviews

Competitive intelligence is one of the linchpins of marketing. Unless you are first to market with a product or service, it is important to understand the landscape of the industry you’re entering into. Today, the internet makes such research quick and easy — and a lot of it is free. As consumers, we give away more data than we even realize. As businesses, we can utilize that data to serve our customers better. A competitive review shows what others in your business sector are saying about their products. Then you can differentiate yourself, and carve out a unique niche.

Guerrilla Marketing Then and Now: How the Digital Age Has Changed the Game

Guerrilla Marketing Then and Now: How the Digital Age Has Changed the Game

When Jay Conrad Levinson introduced the concept of guerrilla marketing in 1984, he envisioned a bold, unconventional approach that allowed small businesses to compete with larger competitors without massive advertising budgets. By 1987, the term had fully taken root, becoming a guiding principle for scrappy entrepreneurs looking to make a big impact with minimal resources.

AI in Content Marketing: The Human Factor

AI in Content Marketing: The Human Factor

Ok, ok! Another blog about AI. But in the content business, AI is the biggest thing on everybody’s mind, and I think it will be for a while.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the way businesses approach content marketing. We can no longer debate that. In our field, tools powered by AI are helping writers generate ideas, draft copy, analyze performance metrics, and accomplish much more, faster, and with greater efficiency. All that is true.
